I love your treatment of this, Park. I suppose everyone regards the Ray Charles version, with the orchestra & backing singers, as the definitive arrangement of this song & you very cleverly avoided that "big production" style and went for your own, much more intimate, feel on this. It's really got that "smoky jazz club" feel to it & I love your crooning style vocal on this. Oh, and the guitar work is perfect too - a lovely bluesy feel. You really do have a great touch, mate. Nice pic of you & the missus too! Nice one, matey :o)

Nice...very nice indeed. First off that backer was great, was that you on the Bass also? When I played live in bands I usually played the bass and that was such a cool sounding tone on this one. What did you use? Type? Amp? Simulator? It sounds like a cross between a FULL double standup (which a lot of people use 3/4 or 1/2 sizes now) and an electric jazz with flat wound strings.

On to the guitar...now that is blues from deep down. A 'lil touch of smoky like a burning Georgia pine while staying as sweet as a Georgia peach like that tasty bend at 1:47 where the yellow brothel type house is at in the video. I'm on my 3rd listen and I have to tell ya this is so cool. Laid back, straight to the point blusey goodness. Great vocals too man. Love it!

I am used to hearing this the other way also.   But this is fantastic and I really enjoyed the video also as I have never been to Georgia and there were some fabulous pictures!   Your wife very pretty also. :)   I like the way you did this a lot!!  Great job!   I think your vocals were superb on this also.   Full of expression.   The best!!

Thanks Mach tazz John
I should have been more clear on the backer I used the bass was already in the bt but I did have the option of taking it out and doing my own but I fit so well I left it...sure sounds like a stand up bass and that is one of my favourite tones.the guitars used were my Campbell American UK 1 with SH 11 custom Duncan in the bridge and jazz in the neck this guitarbhas been my work horse for my playing and song creation as it is coil tapped as well and can sound like a les Paul or a tele or a stratocaster .

I used the BR for my tone I think I selected the Saldono amp confiig through edit took out the gain  and got a vey pleasing mellow tone for it also used the acoustic setting.boy that Saldono setting is so versatile it can be as gain driven as Gary Moore or as clean as women tone by selecting cabinet settings to matchless or Vox to clean up the signal ...people should mess more with that' one selection .

P.s thanks for the compliment on my wife tazzy we have been together for 30 years this year and married for 26 mere babes in the woods when we first lived in sin in 1983.now we are empty nesters my son is at the university of Calgary and my daughter just moved to Victoria to attend the Canadian college of performing arts , we don't even have ur dog as she died in march after 14 years....needless to say it is a learning curve all over again without the kids.but we still have our hobbies which will hopefully keep us sane.
