Play all my songs

« on: October 31, 2018, 02:05:54 AM »

Well, nothing new for the last couple of months, I am as much to blame as anyone, Not played any instruments for a couple of months now, I have been spending any spare time teaching my self to paint,
I would just like to thank everyone for the great times over the last 10 years, it has been great fun with lots of great music and laughter, I must admit I have lost a lot of interest since my pal died, But as they say, all good things come to an end,
If I get a sudden burst of energy and make a recording I will certainly post it if we are still up and running, Thanks to everyone, Stay Lucky,  Alex.

Hi Alex,
I do log in most days on the off chance that something new has been posted and it was such a great surprise today to see that you had done just that.
It’s a real shame that you are not musically active at the moment Alex, but I must congratulate you on your pictures…..they are really very, very good.
I still play guitar when I can, but like you have not recorded anything for ages. However I do intend to one day soon and I too will still post on this site if it is up and running.
There is a wealth of recorded music to be found on the C-Lab site which is a huge testament to the talents of its members and the last ten incredible years it has been running.

All good things come to an end?.........sadly they have a habit of doing just that. Sadyel Sadyel
All the very best to you and your family Alex.

Hi Lads look in most days , got a ton of recording stuff in a spare room , playing with a couple of bands at the mo , but only rehearsing in local studios , but cant seem to record anything which i can stick with  to the end !  SC looks slow as well , tried distrokid with some of my music which is a waste of time , unless you are prepared to spend hours online promoting it, seems like a lot of the muso,s have gone west ! where that is i dont know , maybe it was all new to us recording and posting , and getting positive feedback which for me was inspiring and great fun , good things do come to an end , but i was glad to be a small part in the cog that helped to run this Site.

Good to hear from you Alex, Paul n Tim and if you find somewhere with the same energy and vibe drop us a line

I picked up a guitar for the first time several years. I played it for a while as tomorrow it's going to find a new home. The Gibson SG was the last electric standing. I'll keep an acoustic and a classical around in the off chance that I want to make some noise again.

It's been a hell of a run. I love you all.

Hi all Dilly here. Dont kow what drew me to the site today. Les counted you all as his friends and so loved being part of Cool Lab (Invited in by Tony J). I have sold all but 2 of the guitars Les had  in his Man Cave he created when he moved in with me. Had a couple of local musician friends of my family help sell 12 of them! plus a keyboard , a korg and variious foot pedals &  amplifiers  & gismos. Many of them are now being played at gigs in Cardiff and Bristol. That would make Les smile. I have kept an accoustic and have it on a stand in my lounge for any passing musical friend to play, and I still have my base guitar and amp - who knows I may play it again one day. Last time I played was when Les and I did The Spider and the Fly. Anyway good luck, good fortune and most of all happiness to you all. Dilly X AnnieXPopty Ping xx
